Dr. Jonathan Schwartz, our Clinical Director, has been a mental health provider since 1995. He specializes in working with a wide spectrum of anxiety and mood disorders including: Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder and perfectionism. He utilizes a Cognitive Behavioral model in approaching treatment. He provides treatment in both English and Hebrew.

Dr. Schwartz received his BA, MA, and PsyD from Yeshiva University. Prior to opening the Center for Anxiety Relief,  he was Senior Psychologist at the Center for Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy in New York where he practiced and mentored young Psychologists in the field. He has worked at the Bronx VA Medical Center, Tikvah at Ohel, Penninsula Counseling Center and Pesach Tikvah in Williamsburgh. He has also served as Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology at Stern College and Touro College. He is also a non-resident Faculty Scholar at the Center for Spirituality, Theology and Health of Duke University.

Dr. Schwartz is also an ordained and practicing Rabbi in NJ. He has written a myriad of articles on psychologically-oriented themes especially through the prism of Jewish law and life and has published extensively on the Jewish mind, body and soul and OCD. He continuously lectures on psychology themes and their intersection with religion.
